Droid, or iPhone?
I like to plan ahead. For most of you, this won’t come as a surprise.
So I’m thinking about my next phone, since (1) I’m not loving my current phone due to some problems with it, and (2) I really think I’d like my next phone to be a smart(er)phone.
Oh, and (3) I like to plan ahead. Yeah.
I’m pretty well stuck on Verizon as far as carriers go, which substantially limits my choices. Currently, the iPhone isn’t available anywhere but AT&T, but with more and more speculation that Verizon will get it soon, it’s definitely in the running.
But I’m loving the HTC Droid Eris too. I’m a huge Google fan, using Google Apps for all my web sites… and the form factor is appealing. It’s like the iPhone, but a little smaller and a little more subtle. And I like the fact that it’s a bit more open of an operating system and platform than Apple’s.
But man, Apple is good at what they do.
You see, a few months ago I made the leap. I gave up my Windows-based laptop and picked up my MacBook Pro. And I love it. I’m sold on iTunes and iPhoto and iMovie and pretty much all things Apple. And therein lies the rub.
How do I get my iTunes onto a Google phone? Crap… the one thing I didn’t plan for.
